April 2 - last day in park. This is called a "dike" - it's the exposed edge of a thin hard layer of igneous rock that filled the split between two other layers of softer rock. As the edge was exposed, the softer rock eroded first, so the harder layer's edge makes this wall or ridge-like phenomenon.
